Folding Echoes at Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2018｜Dance Base｜Week 1

Back to UK for the first time after my study in London three years ago. Of course Edinburgh is not like London, yet still reminds me the scent of her. I don't miss London often, but coming back feels natural in some ways. This time I come back with my solo work, Folding Echoes, presented by Dance Base and supported by Arts Development Council with a full team -- a tour manager, light and sound coordinators, documentation and a journalist, for the first time.

愛丁堡藝穗節是個戰場。

多多少少在之前都有聽說過，但終究還是要抵達後才能確定。也像天氣預報中的天氣，十來度的夏季在香港收拾行李時也憑著直覺把毛衣往箱子裡塞，印象中的倫敦夏季當中我沒有穿過甚麼短袖的衣服，也就沒有多帶。把宣傳品也放進去後拉好拉鏈。十七公斤。

抵達時是清晨七點多，人潮是有一點，機場小，有點舊。我猜平日來往的旅客定必沒有很多，但那天的早上一班又一班的航班不住帶來人潮。在車上看著暗綠的田原和枯枝經過，是某種印象中英國景色，不同於宮崎，也不同於北京。我有時好奇同一個舞蹈如何把人帶到如此不一樣的地方。
