Teaching

Joseph is keen on sharing his practice in dance-making process and body training. With different projects that he involved in, he has led workshops both locally and aboard.

Workshop Description

Joseph Lee leads workshops for different needs, ranging from movement directing to improvisation. Content of the workshop varies according to the nature of the workshop and the backgrounds of participants.

His current practice focuses on the consciousness of performers during improvisation, embodiment and reenactment of bodily experience, awareness of the body and the space around and within, the connection between the body and the mind, articulation of mental pictures to physical ideas, poetic quality and narrative in movements.

He is open to suggestions and collaboration for workshops and he has been gathering local artists from different fields to work on the possibilities in performance with the support of Unlock Body Lab in his research project, Studio as a Playground
